Mobiele werknemer profiteert van gemak en veilige toegang tot bedrijfsaplicaties in de cloud dankzij HP mt40

Amstelveen, November 16, 2012 — HP introduceert een nieuwe mobiele ‘thin client’ die de prestaties biedt van een PC in combinatie met de hoogste kwaliteitseisen voor de beveiliging. Zo zijn bedrijfsgevens, financiele gegevens, zorgdata en overheidsinformatie beschermd op het hoogste niveau voor dataopslag.

De HP mt40 Mobile Thin Client richt zich op zowel thuiswerkers als werknemers die op locatie werken via een mobiele verbinding. Via een beveiligde verbinding verkrijgen zij toegang tot het bedrijfsnetwerk om zo met de benodigde documenten te kunnen werken. Met de HP mt40 kan een werknemer eenvoudig inloggen op het beveiligde netwerk. Dat kan vanaf de locatie waar op dat moment wordt gewerkt, thuis of bij een klant. Zelfs de meest gevoelige informatie is via de beveiligde verbinding veilig beschikbaar en op te slaan op de server, zonder dat er data achterblijft op het apparaat .

Krachtige management tool
Naast deze thin client kondigt HP een nieuwe versie van haar krachtige thin client management tool aan: HP Device Manager 4.5. Deze tool is geïnstalleerd bij aanschaf van HP’s mt40 en toekomstige thin clients . Het gebruikgemak ervan wordt hier verder mee verhoogd, waardoor het apparaat nog eenvoudiger te implementeren is.

Eén van de belangrijkste nieuwe aspecten van HP Device Manager 4.5 is draadloos imaging. Hierdoor is het mogelijk om de via een mobiele verbinding een zelfde update van de server te zien als via de vaste infrastructuur op kantoor. Alle HP mt40 devices zijn via de software toegangelijk op afstand.

•Ability to store new images locally on thin clients for future updates.

The HP mt40 Mobile Thin Client will be available worldwide in mid-December. Pricing is available upon request.

Customers can choose from HP Care Pack Services to extend service contracts beyond the standard warranties.
