HP breidt zakelijke tabletportfolio uit met EliteBook Revolve

Notebook met touchscreen verandert in handomdraai in stijlvolle tablet

Frankfurt, Duitsland, 5 december 2012 — HP breidt vandaag haar zakelijke tabletportfolio uit met de HP EliteBook Revolve. Het nieuwe notebook met touchscreen verandert eenvoudig in een tablet. Door het scherm om te draaien is het eenvoudig om werk te delen via het scherm. Naast de EliteBook Revolve lanceerde HP ook een serie nieuwe accessoires voor haar tablets, waaronder een oplaadstation – de HP Multi-Tablet Charging Module – waarin meerdere tablets tegelijk kunnen worden opgeladen en opgeborgen. HP lanceert de nieuwe producten tijdens de technologiebeurs HP Discover in Frankfurt.

Het notebook biedt de flexibiliteit van een tablet, dankzij het omklapbare high definition (HD) touchscreen(2). Het apparaat is bij uitstek geschikt voor zakelijk gebruik en komt tegemoet aan de wensen van gebruikers die op zoek zijn naar een ultra dunne notebook en een tablet. De EliteBook Revolve heeft een derde generatie Intel® Core™ processors en presteert optimaal met Windows 8(1). De EliteBook Revolve werkt prettig en de beeldkwaliteit is hoog.

Daarnaast voldoet het notebook aan hoge veiligheidseisen, waarmee bedrijfsgegevens veilig zijn opgeslagen op het apparaat. Daarmee heeft ook de IT-afdeling een zorg minder.”

Omklapbaar scherm biedt mobiel gebruiksgemak
Met het omklapbare touchscreen, biedt de HP Elitebook Revolve gebruikers de mogelijkheid mobiel te werken zoals op een tablet. Daarmee past het notebook uitstekend in de drukke zakelijke werkomgeving. Het apparaat is de negende generatie van HP’s lijn van convertible tablets en heeft een mooi pakket aan mogelijkheden, zoals Windows 7 Pro of Windows 8, een high definition (HD) touchscreen, een HD camera en Gorilla® Glass®.

Bijpassende accessoires voor ElitePad
In oktober introduceerde HP haar eerste tablet voor de zakelijke werkomgeving: de HP ElitePad. Aan de basis van dit ontwerp stonden een aantal eisen die zakelijke gebruikers stellen aan een tablet. Met de HP ElitePad werden ook het de HP ElitePad Smart Jackets en extra accessoires geïntroduceerd. De Smart Jackets maken het mogelijk om extra functionaliteit toe te voegen aan de ElitePad.

Tablets tegelijkertijd opladen
HP lanceert ook een nieuwe oplaadmodule voor tablets, die het mogelijk maakt om meerdere tablets tegelijkertijd op te laden. Met de HP Multi-Tablet Charging Module(3) kunnen tot tien tabletcomputers worden opgeladen met slechts één stopcontact. De oplaadmodule beveiligt alle tablets in het dockingsysteem met een vergrendelingmechanisme en kunnen met een slot worden vastgemaakt aan de oplaadmodule. De HP Multi-Tablet Charging Module is geschikt voor verschillende werkomgevingen.

Hiermee kunnen werkgebieden zoals bijvoorbeeld een ziekenhuis of klaslokalen overzichtelijk worden gehouden, terwijl de tablets worden opgeladen op een veilige plek. De oplaadmodule werkt met elke tablet tot het formaat van 10.1 inches/26,65 centimeter. Ook voor HP’s ElitePad tablet en HP ENVY x2 notebook (aangekondigd in augustus) is het oplaadstation geschikt. Het notebook kan ook worden opgeladen in het oplaadstation terwijl gebruik wordt gemaakt van de HP Smart Jacket of een toetsenbord. Dankzij het handige opstapelbare ontwerp kunnen twee Multi-Tablet Charging Modules tegelijkertijd opladen. Het kabelmanagementsysteem zorgt ervoor dat de oplaadmodule maar één keer hoeft te worden aangesloten.

Beschikbaarheid
De HP EliteBook Revolve is naar verwachting vanaf maart 2013 beschikbaar in onder andere Nederland. Dan wordt ook meer bekend gemaakt over de prijs van het notebook. De HP Multi-Tablet Charging Module is eveneens per maart 2013 verkrijgbaar. De aanbevolen verkoopprijs daarvan is 499 euro.(14)
