HP en Samsung lanceren nieuwe oplossing voor mobiel printen

Direct documenten en foto’s printen op HP printers met de Samsung GALAXY S 4

Amstelveen, 21 maart 2013 — HP heeft een nieuwe printoplossing ingebouwd in verschillende Samsung devices. Hiermee zijn mobiele gebruikers van Samsung in staat om eenvoudig direct te printen op meer dan 180 netwerk printers uit de HP Inkjet en de HP LaserJet portefeuille.

De samenwerking laat zien dat HP voortdurend investeert in mobiel printen. Door te voldoen aan de behoefte van de mobiele gebruiker en het op maat en on demand printen vanaf vrijwel elke locatie mogelijk te maken, laat HP leiderschap zien in mobiel printen.

De nieuwe geïntegreerde oplossing van HP en Samsung onderscheidt zich van het huidige aanbod van mobiele print applicaties. Zo zijn er bij de HP printfunctionaliteit geen installaties, tools, drivers of netwerkconfiguraties vereist op de mobiele telefoon, waardoor zonder moeite mobiel geprint kan worden. Daarnaast is de nieuwe printoplossing de enige die geavanceerde printerinstellingen en opties biedt zoals dubbelzijdig afdrukken, kleur, oriëntatie (portrait of landscape) en papiertype. Door het aanbieden van deze en andere functies maakt de printoplossing het printen op afstand nog gemakkelijker en efficiënter.

Beschikbaarheid
De printfunctionaliteit wordt ondersteund met de aankomende release van de Samsung GALAXY 4. Later dit jaar zal de mobiele printoplossing ook beschikbaar zijn als firmware-upgrade voor de Samsung Galaxy S III en Note II.

De ingebouwde printknop zal te vinden zijn in tal van toepassingen op mobiele Samsung devices, waaronder Email Client, Android Browser, Photo Gallery, Contacts, S Note en Polaris Office.

Users can print in two ways: by automatically connecting their Samsung mobile device and HP printer on the same local network via Wi-Fi, or by using HP technology via wireless direct print. (1)

The Samsung print solution is HP’s latest feature for its mobile print portfolio that also includes HP ePrint.

The built-in print solution works in three simple steps: choose a document, photo or web page ;(2) select a printer (either on Wi-Fi or directly); and hit print. The embedded solution also offers additional, convenient print options for the user, including number of copies, paper size, orientation, paper type, colour mode, double-sided printing and job completion status.

The print solution is compatible with nearly 200 HP printer models across the HP inkjet and HP LaserJet printer portfolios. (3)
